About Futhorc
The Futhorc is the Anglo-Saxon expansion of the older Germanic runes, grown to about 33 characters to fit the vowel-rich sounds of Old English. These are the runes Tolkien used on Thrór’s map in The Hobbit, where “five feet high the door and three may walk abreast” hides in plain sight.
Because Futhorc was built for English’s ancestors, it maps to modern English more naturally than any other historical rune-row. Krunes writes it in genuine Unicode runes, copyable anywhere and decodable straight back.
